Happy Birthday, Scott

July 14, 2007 by Amy

img_6909s.jpgToday Scott turned 32 today which is a long way from 18 when I met him.  I just feel so old these days.  A couple days ago he said he was getting too old to do something for his birthday but I knew his family, especially his mom, would want to do something.  But it was kind of hard to plan something since he works nights all weekend.  I told Scott yesterday we’d just order some pizza and have his parents over.  Then I saw THE dessert (which was FANASTIC)  and decided maybe make it a little bit bigger affair so last night while Scott was working I called his mom, sister, cousin and grandmother and told them to come over for lunch.  Scott woke up to a little birthday party and while there were no streamers and balloons, he thanked me quite appreciatively after everyone had gone.  I was glad he was happy and I DID work pretty hard on getting the house together, getting all the ingredients last night, making the pie today and even though the pizza was easy, I did order it all and get it myself with Lexi in tow which I think speaks for itself…and for goodness sakes I actually CALLED all his family members.  I scored mega points today but I guess I don’t get to count them since it IS his birthday.  So, happy birthday, babe.
