Etsy wannabe

December 3, 2007 by Amy

Do you know how bad badly much I want to be a seller on etsy??  I was just reading some of the success stories and I’m so pumped to sell something.  But I’m totally unqualified!  I can barely sew on a button.  Any attempt at painting I’ve made can be cute but looks amateurish.  I don’t know how to make costume jewelry or baskets or purses or soap or lipstick or cute little children’s toys or much of anything really.  I can not think of a single thing I could create to sell.

Hmph.

Just remember that for every big seller there are about 1000 small sellers (like me) who don’t really earn a lot on Etsy.

I know. Even through the success stories I would have guessed higher number that they have sold in the past.
I wasn’t (for once) really thinking about it as a money maker. But just to be really proud of something I made would be nice.
