Snippets from the Gas Station

April 6, 2008 by Amy

Emma: What’s the name of this gas station?

Me: Texaco

Emma: Wow, that rhymes with Mexico.

Me (stunned because I don’t think I’ve ever thought of that): Yes, you’re right.

Emma (looking at the lady next to us who had curly blond hair): Is that Brooke?

Me (confused.  the first thing that came to my mind is Brooke from One Tree Hill but she has brown hair): Brooke who??

Emma: Brooke.  From American Idol.

Me: Oh.  no.

I don’t think that I ever noticed Texico rhyming with Mexico. That is pretty observant of her…
