Emma today

May 8, 2008 by Amy

We saw our first Smart Car here around town today.

Me: Girls, look at that little car!

Emma:  Awwww. *pause*  Awwww.

———————————————————

Emma: Purple and pink.  Black and white. Gold and silver. Horseys and cows.  They all go together don’t they mommy?  Is that a good idea because I’m thinking it is.

———————————————————

While I’m on the phone 5 feet away with a lovely representative from our Insurance company…

Emma (loudly): Mommy!  There’s a ball of poop on the floor!!

Have I mentioned Lexi’s still not doing well with potty training?

I love the Smart cars. When Denis and I were in Amsterdam on vaca in 1999 they were EVERYWHERE and I totally wanted one. Glad they are finally in America, but I probably won’t be buying one anytime soon since there isn’t any room for carseats!

HA! I LOVE hearing the hilarious things kids say, and it is always good to know that it isn’t just my crazy kid who comes up with the most random things to say!

What is a smart car? Am I really that behind? 🙁 And poop balls are not good.. but that was hilarious that she announced it like that. My mom used to keep a little notebook of all the funny things I said. I once asked her if we could get a (excuse the graphicness of this but I didn’t know any better at the time) dildo that we could swim in when it was hot outside. What I meant was a doughboy. My poor mom, I was probably only 9 or 10 when I said that.
