Today’s Turkey Day

May 13, 2008 by Amy

And I don’t mean Thanksgiving.  Scott leaves this afternoon with our church’s Association’s missions director M to fly to Turkey for ten days on missions.  I’ve had all the worst thoughts running through my head and all the best as well.  I’m praying for divine appointment and miracles for them and God’s complete protection and safety.

And on a lighter yet still serious note, I’m praying for me and the kids.  I tend to go a little insane when left to my own devices with the children for several days.  I know should be taking full advantage of the time I have with them and appreciating what lovely children I have but a person can only handle so many spilt drinks, temper tantrums and messy rooms destroyed 30 seconds after being cleaned.  I do have a wonderful family that will all pitch in over the next 10 days but still.  Scott really is our rock around here.  He keeps us all in line and, um, clean.  When he’s gone things can go a little haywire.

So anyway, pray for them and pray for us.

You’ll do great, but I know how you feel. It’s always easier with the hubby home.
