Delurking Day 2009

I have a few posts I owe this blog from the weekend but I have lots to do and it will have to wait until this evening. And since today is Delurking Day 2009, you guys can keep the blog busy.

How to: Download Online Videos to Your Computer

Ever want to save an online video to your computer? I know people want to do it all the time with YouTube videos. But it doesn’t stop at just YouTube videos. As an entertainment blog owner, I think of Facebook videos, videos from News Station sites or other Entertainment web sites where I’d really like to have my own copy. Whether it be to upload to my iPhone or create a montage video of my own. Sites such as http://keepvid.com have emerged and work well for YouTube videos but it doesn’t work for everything.

I’ve finally found a great software that automatically recognizes a video is playing in your browser and downloads it! Effect Matrix has a tool called YouTube Video Download Tool. The name is a bit misleading because it works on more than just YouTube. I successfully downloaded a Facebook video just this morning! Just click the “Snart Sniffing” button and within seconds, the video is downloaded! Love. it.

I have to admit it was a little weird seeing this tweet:

But exciting too! I’m sure lots of fun stuff happen in the kitchen that I could watch 😉 I’ve failed to debut my hot blogger calendar page since we got clearance in the New Year. So here ya go for those of you who haven’t ordered yours yet, tsk, tsk. You can fix that by going here.

It’s still a little surreal that I actually took Dani and Heather to New York with me and had my picture made in a studio in the middle of NYC. Surreal, but cool. I’d do it again tomorrow if I was asked.

And for those curious, the dress came from LA East. I also had some cute silver Nine West shoes on. Jillian Villafane did my makeup. Bill Wadman took the photo. And Jane and Sarah cooked this whole thing up. Thanks, guys!

Like Father, Like Daughter

I’ve had clues that Lexi might be a little…tidy…organized..obsessive…OCD…whatever fits…just like Scott. It started when she was young and would get upset when you moved her cup from whatever side of her plate she had it on. She would chastise you and move it back.

Recently, she has started insisting her sock get pulled up as tight as possible so “her shoes don’t have a problem”. Which I can’t blame her on that one really.

Then Monday we were at the grocery store where the kids both push a kids shopping cart. I picked up 3 cans of veggies and gave Lexi the first two which she aligned in her cart and then handed the 3rd to Emma. Lexi looked at me and said, “Mommy, I was going to line all 3 up.” So I gave it to her and she did…lined them up in a straight line down the side of her cart.

But today tops all. She’s watching TV and I hear her say, “Mommy, I want that!” Scott and I assumed it was another toy. But no. It was a commerical for these:
