Super Bowl Sunday

February 1, 2009 by Amy

Today was NOT a normal Sunday.  Lexi started throwing up yesterday evening and continued to do so about every two hours through the night.  And unfortunately she doesn’t grasp the whole run to the toilet concept yet so I was changing sheets/blankets/towels all night.  Needless to say, we didn’t go to church this morning and spent most of the morning lounging in bed.

I did laundry and more laundry most of the day and STILL haven’t finished washing everything.  Lexi still was pretty out of it by lunch so we ate in. I did make it out to CVS and the grocery store this afternoon but other than that we all just hung out at the house.

I decided to go “all out” (read: actually cook) since I knew we’d be stuck in the house so I made steak and potatoes for dinner and then made a bean dip and bought some shrimp for snacking tonight.  The kids were actually interested in watching the game.  Or so I thought.  Until they were completely asleep by 7:15!  Here are Lexi and I right after she fell asleep.  I had a headache most of the evening so I was just about out too.

Scott and I watched the SuperBowl all evening and now I’m watching The Office.  It’s been a pretty uneventful day but I’ve actually enjoyed the day competely off.  Minus the whole throw-up part.

I remember those days. There were times I though I’d never get all the laundry done.

Hopefully Lexi is getting better and you are not getting the virus. You have my sympathies.

You look so tired that you didn’t even get your coat off! We hope Lexi feels better today.
