The Bachelor: Episode 5

February 3, 2009 by Amy

I may or may not have spent my very busy morning at work sitting in the recliner ALSO catching up on The Bachelor.  Since I knew (thought) I would have to get up at 4am for work, I skipped watching it.  I DID however sneak in seeing the rose ceremony so I rested soundly knowing who went home.  Oh, I kid.  Sort of.

So here’s my thoughts.

Yay, Melissa got a one on one!  I absolutely adore Melissa.  Everyone gave her props for not making a big deal about their date getting canceled but come on what choice did she really have?  Was she going to throw a temper tantrum and leave the show?  But I still love the fact she wore her black dress to his house and love how she cleaned up after Jason and Ty.  When they were walking in his living room, I kept thinking about how perfect they look together.  And her changing into her sweats was so cute….Shannon, take notes on how you ACTUALLY show someone you’re comfortable with them without being awkward and PICKING YOUR NOSE.   They seemed completely comfortable yet taken with each other.  I can’t wait until they get married.  Ahhhh….

The group date was next.  And oh my word, I think Stephanie’s picture might be somewhere near the word accessory in the dictionary.  Girl went all out for the date.  And the whole kissing Jason on the hand thing…awkward!  And Jillian started breaking down big time.  Not sure what her deal is but she started worrying me last night.  As for Molly, she still seems like a frontrunner.

As for Naomi.  I just can’t get into her.  Her family situation and her thoughts on that worry me.  Their chemistry worries me.  I almost wanted her to go before Stephanie.  Almost.

I was very glad to see Stephanie go though.  As much of an awesome person that she seems to be, there was nothing between the two of them.  Nothing.  I love how graceful she was though.  She will make some man VERY happy.

So Melissa is still my favorite with Molly being a close second.

But where was DeAnna?? I thought this would be her week!  I can’t imagine she shows up on hometown dates.  Does that mean she doesn’t show up until the fantasy dates??

And one more thought…I love Jason’s house.  I love they showed the house from Sleepless in Seattle and it makes me want to move to Seattle!

What was with that White Fur Vest?! Whoa there!

I am rooting for Melissa too. And I think Naomi isn’t being honest, even with herself. Hope she goes next!

Melissa didn’t change into sweats. And…in reference to your response on Chris’s blog…yes…Melissa is the one that’s chosen!!

She asked Jason if she could bring her sweats on the phone and then put on a long-sleeve shirt and sweat shorts. I was referring to that in general since that’s what she called it.

I also heard she’s the one that gets picked and she’s been my favorite since the beginning so yay!

I think I might like Molly the very best, but Melissa too … and where the heck is Deanna? That is going to be crazy!

Honestly – I really don’t like Melissa. I don’t know why! She just bugs me, Molly is decent, but come on – Jillian is awesome! She is funny and really down to earth. I agree with you though, Stephanie was at times rather awkward, very sweet, but awkward!

    Great blog!
