Getting back in the saddle, er, on the elliptical

February 9, 2009 by Amy

At the end of 2007 we ended our membership at the gym.  We bought an elliptical and I did really well at first.  Then I got the flu some time in February or March and I really haven’t put more than an hour on it since.  And I don’t think I’m stretching the truth there.

I really have missed working out though.  I sleep better, I feel better, I eat better.  And if you don’t remember only one year working out alone, I lowered my cholesterol by 30 points.  I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s back up now.

So this weekend I randomly had Scott move our elliptical into the living room behind the couch.  Not as pretty but at least I can see the TV and be with people now.  Maybe it’s the change, but I’ve been on four days in a row!  I’m making horrible time and not lasting very long but I’m back in the saddle!

We just got a Wii Fit! Are you still doing that? Seems fun!

I, too, need to get back on the wagon!

Good for you Amy. My eliptical is currently holding some summer clothes that I haven’t gotten around to taking to goodwill 🙂 I need to dust that baby off and get my butt in gear. Still have snow here, but before we know it summer will be here!

BTW-totally random. I follow you on Twitter, and do you Twitter with Sophia Bush?? Lucky girl!

Wow. Darren still hasn’t forgiven me for giving away our treadmill. You are inspiring tho. There may be hope for me yet. 🙂
