Weekend Recap

March 9, 2009 by Amy

It was a beautiful weekend in the Carolinas.  Emma said Saturday “felt like spring” and Sunday “felt like…well, Summer”.  I can’t wait to hear what she says about today when it’s supposed to be up to 82!

Scott worked all weekend so I think we actually ate all our dinners over at my parents’ house.  We did manage to get in a few fun things with the great weather.

The kids begged for me to do breakfast in bed.  Not sure where they got that idea from….but they did well with it.

We packed a picnic and went to TWO different parks for the afternoon on Saturday. This picture isn’t so great but I thought the light was cool.  It looks like an Angel is making an appearance!  Really, it’s just the sun was shining off a car window but it’s a cool thought!

We also went to see Joni and Wayne’s new baby who is ADORABLE.  And THEN we went to buy one of these.

I don’t speak TV but this what I know…Samsung 52″ LCD 650, 1080p, 50,000  something something something.  Maybe you TV aficionados can piece that together LOL.  I think it’s a good ‘un.

Somehow Sunday we ended up staying in for the afternoon, Scott mainly working on the TV and I was working on some web site stuff for the church.

So yeah, lots of great stuff this weekend.  Very blessed.

Tina, the outer edges are red but in person, it’s not so bright. But…the colors in my room include red so it’s ok either way 🙂

Thanks, Elwood. That was one of those unplanned pictures that turned out great. I didn’t even tell them to sit there 🙂

I have been wondering about the “hint of red” they’ve been advertising. I can’t see it in the stores though – looks black to me in the dim lights of electronics stores. Our TV cabinet is black – do you think it would clash? Or clash with the red couch? I need to come over and see it.

Melissa Oyler’s last blog post..So what is a day at the spa anyway?

You can see the red line on the top of the tv more than the bottom and it doesn’t stand out as much as the picture. It’s a deeper red I think. I really don’t think anyone would notice unless you pointed it out.

Great black and white pic! They are so sweet! Can’t get a pic of mine together…well, maybe, but they probably would be fighting in it! LOL

The photo of the girls under the tree is beautiful. You need to frame that one.

What pretty photos. How did you take the one with the “angel” (LOL) in it? Did you set a self timer? Your weather looks so nice, makes me want to leave the midwest!
