New Moon. Because I can’t help myself.

June 2, 2009 by Amy

So I couldn’t NOT post about the New Moon trailer.  I tried but I can’t. And in case you missed it or want to see it for the 1,032nd time, here you go.

My reaction was pretty close to their reaction.  All the things I love:

  1. She says I love you
  2. They kiss
  3. Edward’s suit. He’s got his swagger on finally. He actually looks like he could be an old rich man. And I don’t mean old really. If you read the book, I hope you get what I’m saying. He looked like Edward!
  4. That it actually looks like a real movie not a documentary.
  5. Rosalie’s wig is better
  6. Jasper doesn’t look quite as constipated
  7. Edward knocks Jasper across the room.  He deserved it just for looking so constipated in Twilight. And of course because he was getting ready to kill Bella.
  8. Rob plays the tortured Edward much better. Much more Edward of him.
  9. The birthday set is gorgeous.
  10. Jac0b is shirtless and will be for a lot of the movie.  I have to remind myself that he is 17 and yes, I’m married.
  11. Jac0b turns into a wolf!

That last one is huge.  Seriously.  After Twilight, everyone was really scared about the special effects and wow, wow, wow, I can not quit watching that part.  Seriously, seriously amazing.  If you compare that to say, the tree climbing in Twilight, it’s kind of laughable. You can even see his clothes shredding, just like in the book.   And if you’d like to watch THAT a few hundred times, here you go.

New Moon the Movie and Eclipse Movie

Now, the actual reason I wanted to post…these pics of Taylor were taken in Vancouver where they shot those scenes last month. I can’t help but think Taylor was practicing to be Jac0b. Which makes me giggle a little. Can’t help it and I don’t know why.

lol I love our post… especially #7: Edward knocks Jasper across the room. He deserved it just for looking so constipated in Twilight. And of course because he was getting ready to kill Bella.

I love when he knocks Jasper across the room, and of course my other favorite, Jake morphing. I was so scared that the wolves were going to look horrible after seeing the ‘glitter effect’ in Twilight but now I know it’s going to rock 😀

I loved how true they seem to have kept to the book for the party/Edward leaving Bella scenes. The dialogue is perfect which makes me happy. I am not looking at the photos of shirtless Taylor as he is only 5 or 6 years older than Matthew and it is just wrong. Very wrong. Ms. Cope in the school office wrong…

Can’t wait to see this! It’s one more reason why I wish we lived closer. Only two other fangirls can properly appreciate it with me.

Steph it IS going to rock. Can’t wait!

Carolyn, Taylor is 13 years younger than me so it’s still all kinds of wrong. Honestly I don’t heart him like Rob but like you say, just appreciating God’s creations 🙂

I may have to do a post on this myself. Oh, my word. I LOVED how they filmed the angle of Jasper being thrown into the piano. Love it. And I get giddy every time I watch Jake morph. This is gonna rock!

    That video was hilarious.

I loved the trailer. I can’t wait to see the movie. It looks leagues less cheesy. Yay to good special effects!

I was struck by how much better Rob and Taylor look and sound, and how Bella is pretty much the same. I really, really hope Kristen steps it up for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. Right now she’s still a kid in New Moon, but by 3 and 4, she’s a young adult and then a mom and wife, and I related to her so much – I will be upset if I get too much Kristen and not enough Bella.

Also, Rob and Taylor are just yummy. And yes, I’m almost 35 and married!

Didn’t Nikki dye for the first, and now it’s a wig? I thought I read about her hair falling out and them having to do hair pieces and stuff, where this is just a straight up wig. But I could be wrong.

Also, love love love that we all use first names only like we know them. 🙂

EDW, good point on Kristen. I like that she’s still Bella but there seems to be less overacting. At least in the few seconds we saw her.

I have no idea about Nikki’s hair. I thought I heard it was wigs in both.

Of course we know them…there’s only 354 articles that come out on them every day. They’re household names. Wait. They are right??

Love your #7! I think New Moon is going to be way better than Twilight was, I can’t wait to see it!

I was not excited about the dude playing Jac0b in the first movie (it was the hair – I hated the long hair). In this trailer he looks HOT (YAY! for short hair), and therefore I now approve. *lol* Can’t wait!

Jaynee – He does have long hair in the beginning of the movie. There have been a few filming shots with that but I think he loses it pretty quickly.

UrbanVox – Really? New Moon was probably my least favorite of the books. But so far I’m definitely liking the movie better.
