Weekend Recap

April 8, 2012 by Amy

2012-04-08

With my two extra days off work and family in town, I felt like we crammed in a full week of Spring Break into the last four.  We had a great time shopping, bowling, Mellow Mushrooming, Easter egg hunting, racing, eating and generally having a good time together.

We finished out the weekend at home getting back into the swing of regular life.  I baked bread, went grocery shopping and the girls and I had fun playing their new Wii game Just Dance.  Ouch.  That’s all I’m sayin’.

Hope you had a wonderful Easter celebrating with friends and family!

I “played” Just Dance with my nephews this week. So much fun, but holy cow what a workout! Looks like y’all had a fun & relaxing Spring Break. That’s the best kind. Hope you had a wonderfully blessed Easter!

I keep saying I need to get back to working out. I think I’ll try this for 30 minutes a day and I’m sure it will work me out!

We have Just Dance 3 and one of the funniest things ever is watching my heavy metal loving boy dance to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO. That song was really popular while they were on their mission last summer so the service group has adopted it as their theme song. Matthew is hilarious and very good at it! he’s holds the record at our house for most of the songs (Baby, One More Time is another favourite). Such a fun way to pass the time!

We had the Good Friday hike with the Youth Groups after the service on Friday and then spent the evening with friends. We did the family Easter egg hunt with my parents and siblings on Saturday which was fun for all the kids. My three year-old nephew is just as competitive in looking for the eggs as the bigger kids. He is huge fan of sweets of any kind so this was right up his alley. I’m noticing how much older my guys seem as they were fine with helping the littler cousins rather than filling up their own baskets.

I know I’ve mentioned it before but I absolutely love that photo of Lexi with her head on Emma’s shoulder. SO sweet! 🙂

Scott is hilarious playing. I feel a YouTube video coming on. I might hold back though as I couldn’t handle any sort of payback. Yikes, I cannot dance!

Your weekend sounds nice, Carolyn, hope you had a blessed Easter!

Great pictures! Love your purple dress (even though the picture near the bottom right of the collage of you in front of the wreath makes you appear as though you have a fro – hee-hee – you look fab!)

For real, I told Scott that yesterday about the fro. Thank you, though!
