Grey’s Anatomy November 8, 2007

November 9, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I was happy with this episode. Much, much more than last week.

George and Izzie…the whole time I’m thinking, Izzie needs to go get some from Alex..remember how to do it right.  lol  Gizzie just needs to give it up.  It’s just weird.  Still wanting to cover my eyes through half their scenes.

Chief and McDreamy.  Very cute storyline with them this week even though it was a little obvious it was purposely being written in.  Which I guess is a dumb statement since the whole is purposely written.  I just mean it didn’t seem really natural in some parts.  But they really sounded just like a married couple.

McSteamy and McDreamy – I really like them as friends and enjoyed their scenes together last night.

Cristina – I really felt bad for her this week.  Usually I don’t have much compassion for her.  But they took her heart husband away and it was actually sad.

Bailey and Callie – I did like the surgery scene with Callie dancing.  But SO, SO, SO happy she got fired/demoted.  Was anyone else confused about that?  I thought she just got demoted but she told Cristina she was fired.  Bailey was hilarious explaining everything to the Chief and even better when she told him she was glad he finally realized what she’s been doing and then proceeded to cry.  That was a great moment.

Alex and Lexie – I don’t know.  I’m just not into Lexie yet. I didn’t feel bad for her.  Was definitely on Meredith’s side as messed up as she is.  I’m glad Alex stuck with Meredith but I did like that Meredith told Alex at the end to go take her sister home.

I noticed a little glitch in the editing last night. When Izzie is in the room post-op with plastic surgery woman, in one little clip from the back, Izzie is wearing a black elastic band and the other times she is not.

The Bachelor November 5, 2007

November 6, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

So I didn’t stay up last night to watch The Bachelor.  First in awhile.  Since it was only 45 minutes with commercials, I was able to watch it pretty quickly this evening from my TIVO.

So…Jenni’s date was first and the dolphins were really cute.  Seemed like they had a good time.  And once again, the physical sparks between Jenni and Brad were pretty obvious.  Even the frisking to find the hotel card was further proof there is definitely something between them.  But their conversation was sort of weird.  I don’t understand her inability to say how she felt toward him.

Bettina’s date was next and boy was it short.  They showed all of two minutes on the sailboat.  All I remember is seeing them in their swimsuits on the boat and then in the pool at the hotel.  I already knew that Bettina was leaving when I watched this and I’m not sure if it skewed my opinion but to me it was obvious he wasn’t picking her.  And she tried to make up the whole family thing by saying they were just worried he didn’t return her feelings.

The third date was with DeAnna and I was surprised at her continuous witty comments and while I found it a little on the annoying side, he seemed to like her being feisty.  And he was very impressed with her feelings she shared at dinner.  In fact, with a lot of his comments he seemed really, really into her that night.  “I am developing some very strong and extremely real feelings for DeAnna.  Very strong…She’s everything I’ve looked for in a woman…I look at her as a soul mate…I can see a lifetime with DeAnna.” And she seemed really sincere as well.  I still can not get over how she treated the other girls in the house and was even reminded of all the cattiness when they showed previews for the reunion show next week.

But y’all, I think we’re in for a shocking episode next week.  I’ve said Jenni has been the frontrunner but I think DeAnna is going to pull this one off.  Jenni and Brad seem to be all physical and he knows she’s accepted the dancing contract with the Suns so that’s a negative too.  I think it will be like last season with Andy where he picked the soulmate Tessa over the physical connection with Bevin even though Bevin had been a frontrunner for most of the season.  They keep saying it’s going to be shocking so who knows.

Grey’s Anatomy November 1, 2007

November 1, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I’m not a big fan of tonight’s episode.  Not enough STUFF happened.  Here are my very random thoughts…

George and Izzie are just weird together.  They looked like brother and sister lying in bed together and it was just weird.  At best, it reminded me of the days when her and Meredith would collapse in George’s bed at the end of a day and they were all friends.  Now it’s just weird.  I just didn’t even want to see them kiss much less have hot s-e-x.  It was just weird.

Dr. Hahn HAS to go.  I do not like her.  And I heard a rumor that her and McDreamy might get together and THAT IS NOT OK.

Alex and Lexie?  Really now?  I really want Alex and Izzie but I could handle Alex and Lexie.

Meredith was weird in this episode.  I couldn’t quite figure out what her issue was.  I think she wanted a moment of clarity back to be able to completely give herself to McDreamy but she couldn’t so she wanted to let go but then she wasn’t ready.  I think.

Christina needs a man.  Her and heart husband are getting old.

The wedding dress thing was sorta desperate but I’m glad that George let go first.

The one great moment of the episode is when Callie tells George she’s letting him go.  Hallelujah, no more George and Callie.

I think Callie and Mark should get together.  Or maybe Christina and Mark.

Anyway, looking forward to a better episode next week.  This season is sort of hit and miss, huh?

The Hills October 29 2007

October 29, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

Typing as I watch…here we go…

Go Whitney.  Great job on the location.  Beautiful.

Dress on reserve for Amy Astley?  Nice.

Spencer and Frankie – that was weird.  Go Frankie.  Tellin’ Spencer off.  That’s the way.

And once again, I disagree with Spencer.  He’s not friends with people who don’t get along with his friends. I give everyone a fair chance to be MY friend, no matter how they’ve treated people in the past.

The dresses.  So cute.

Oh boy. Whitney’s on her own but lucky Lauren gets to go meet a designer.  Nice.

Oh..no Marc…she’s styling models.

"We’re counting on you."  No pressure, Whit.

Wow, not going well.  No one likes anything.

Oh, she DOES get to meet Marc Jac0bs.  Hi, I’m alphabetizing.  That’s a new one.

"I miss Brody." aw

Brody, no, don’t answer Spencer’s call.

WHAT is Whitney wearing?

Oh, the results.  Meeting went well?  Good presentation?  The dress was dressy?  That’s their input?  Dress up more when you’re in LA?

IT’S BRODY!  He gets a hug!  There’s candles!  Spencer strikes again. Ruins the mood.  Too many pillows. Yes. Hug.  Yes.  Snuggling. Yes.  We’ll always be there for each other.  Yes.  Perfect ending. YES!

**Update.  I just reread that and that last paragraph sounded quite…orgasmic…not on purpose, people.  Ew.

The Bachelor October 29 2007

October 29, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

OK, has Brad lost his ever-lovin’ mind?  Did he forget Bettina’s family?  That was probably THE roughest family moment I’ve seen in all the seasons of The Bachelor.  I’ve never seen a family member just say I don’t like him, he’s a disappointment.  And YET, Brad keeps her.  Does he know he is marrying the family too?  Do people get that??  You MARRY THE FAMILY TOO!  okie dokie.

Jenny is still in the lead in Brad’s eyes as far as I can tell.  Even though the grandmother was a little tough, he seemed to take it well and actually did fit in.

Sheena’s mom was off her rocker but I thought overall the date went well. I was really, really surprised that he didn’t keep her in.  Poor thing was heartbroken but I guess Brad just wasn’t feeling it.

As for DeAnna, if this had been my first night seeing it, I would have had high marks for DeAnna but it still bothers me how she treated the other girls in the house.  He did seem to fit in well with her family–hey, they’re not shy with the alcohol are they?  I just don’t see her and Brad romantically though.

I’ll be shocked if he doesn’t choose Jenny.  Not sure if this is even much of a competition.

Grey’s Anatomy October 25, 2007

October 25, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

In the words of Alex, "Happy Freakin’ Halloween".  Wasn’t that great?  Wow, I thought last week was good but this week was REALLY, REALLY good.  I think the less interns we see, the better.  Unless it’s George of course.  So yeah, let’s start with George.

Maybe it’s not George I want to start with as much as Callie about George.  Callie’s announcement to the entire room that George and Izzie had slept together was FANTASTIC.  Leave your mouth wide open kind of fantastic.  I can’t believe she did that but it made for some fanstastic tv.  In fact this week had some great scenes and lines…so here we go.

Christina’s comment about Meredith’s "mommy bag" right after Callie’s big announcement had me laughing.

Meredith and Derek meet in the hallway with her mother’s ashes and talk about whether to put them in the cubby or car.  The little boy interrupts and Meredith says, "Can you take care of him?" And I love when Derek says, "Can you take care of…her."

Alex and Ava!!  Honestly I really want Alex and Izzie together but this really was a great reunion for Alex.  Nice to see Alex on the prowl again.

The man with the chainsaw and the foot.  He was crazy.  Period.  However, did anyone see loose ends tied up with that?  Last I saw the guy was in surgery.

Dr. Hahn’s comment about Christina…I was saying "What?!" with Christina but it was still great to see her put in her place.

I really liked Lexie’s dead cat story and liked Lexie and Meredith getting along.  They have good chemistry with one another.

So my friend and I were watching this show and we were just saying how NO marriage can survive on this show.  The only exception we could think of was Bailey’s.  And then hers seems to be going downhill all the sudden.  Nice to see some personal stuff with Bailey.  Last I remember she was wiping breast milk off her scrubs.

Christina telling off Hahn right before she finds out she’s the new head of Cardio-Thurasic (sp?) Surgery was just..nice.  Love how she takes it out on the chief.

So the kid with the new ears is telling Meredith he flushed his goldfish down the toilet so they could "go back to the sea".  Please don’t tell me Mer is going to flush her mother down the toilet.  But no, in all of Grey’s beauty, Meredith pours her down the sink at the scrub station and it was just beautiful.  Perfectly beautiful.

I started with George and I may as well end with him.  Izzie and his declaration "We made it through this day." was almost poetic.  And honestly, it didn’t produce any aw-ing from me because I’m still not into the Gizzie of it all but it was a nice moment.

So next week’s previews seem a little crazy, a little confused I think.  The only thing I clearly remember was Izzie claiming that Gizzie would be be having hot s-e-x.  Nice, can’t wait to blog about that.

The Hills Music October 22, 2007

October 24, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I get hits every week on my site for people looking for the music played during The Hills episode.  A little google search turned up this list from the episode…

A Fine Frenzy-Near To You
Mark Ronson-God Put A Smile On Your Face
Tegan and Sara- Back In Your Head
Nick Howard-The Pressure
Gran Ronde-Retrace
The Aggrolites-Free Time
Jill Cunniff-Lazy Girls
Luna Halo-World On Fire
Eisley-Invasion
David Condos-I Should Be Lost Without You
The Bravery-Believe
I-94-This Time Around
Nouvelle Vague-I Melt With You

Since I think the music is pretty cool myself and wouldn’t mind a few more mp3s to add to my iPod, I’ll try to include this in any weekly episodes I write up.

You’re welcome 🙂
