I’m still in my shirt-shorts-sandals uniform this week. We have been getting so much rain I can’t convince myself to get in one of my dresses or skirts.  The last two days have been nice though so maybe this week?

This outfit makes me excited just because I only spent $12 on both the shirt and shorts at Old Navy thanks to sales and rewards.  And I’m proud of myself for buying a colorful print, even if it is geometric.

My computer ATE my pictures from this day and this is the only one it saved. Not the most flattering, but I just had to show you I wore my latest Stitch Fix shirt!

I wanted to dress it up more but I think I was home most of the day and just couldn’t get myself to do much more than the bracelet I have on.

I’m most excited about the earrings in this outfit because I thought the kids had lost one of them but we found them amongst all the room clutter.  I wear these all the time and was happy to have them back.

My first attempt at pattern mixing.  I know it’s really only two colors but you have to start somewhere right?  I already had the shirt when I bought the shorts. The older I get the more I believe the idea if you just buy what you like, it’ll all go together.  Well, not ALL but you know.

This week I’m in total uniform mode: shirt, shorts and sandals.  In fact, now that I look back, I’m wearing the exact same sandals in every picture.  Whoops!

Today I have a few more outfits from vacation. 

 

Last week I talked about how I picked up some colored shorts. Scott picked these pink ones out from The Limited last week.  I love them. I saw this navy and pink combination on a WIWW post a few weeks ago so I was excited to try it.

 

We went out one night to PF Chang’s so I took the opportunity to wear this dress my friend Dani gave me. I felt like maybe I was overdressed but as I told my kids, “I’d rather be overdressed, than underdressed!”

Along with the shorts, I picked up the shirt and belt at The Limited too.  Oh, and I love these shoes from the Nine West outlet.  They are gold and sparkly and are very uncomfortable on burnt feet.  Yeow!

Just one outfit for you this week.  Last week we were still dealing with the water leak debacle while trying to get ready for a week in Florida.  You did not want to see my outfits.

Since arriving in Florida, I’ve basically been living in a swimsuit.

I’ve had some colored shorts on my radar for a few weeks and I found some great ones here at The Loft Outlet and The Limited.  We went out for a bit of shopping after eating dinner in Tuesday night and I wore one set of shorts.

I was clearly feeling very “blue” this week as every single outfit I captured had blue in it.  I think subconsciously I had the blue waters I’ll be seeing at the beach very soon!

Eek!  Can you tell I got a new lens for Mother’s Day?  Between that and finishing up ShootFlyShoot’s Photography 102 class last week, I’m really excited about how these photos are looking.  And not me, pretty much everything but me—the lighting, the color, the background, the crispness.  I can’t recommend the guys at ShootFlyShoot enough. I might just have to do a full post on it–let me know if you want to hear more!
