“Next week the Top 5 will perform 2 songs. One song will be from the year they were born, and the other will be songs that are in the Billboard charts this week. There will be no guest appearances. ”

Oh, please, Chris, do What Hurts the Most or You’re Beautiful. Not sure his voice would do well with You’re Beautiful. I would die if he did What Hurts the Most. Maybe more than Haveyoueverreallylovedawoman. Go ahead and set up the oxygen for me.

Last night went really well. There were only 4 of us but we all got along really well. Almost like the 10 years weren’t even there. And we made some good progress. Silly me volunteered for stuff. And in more important things, I got complimented on my hair and the fact that it doesn’t look like I’ve had 2 kids. Ok, enough pimping myself.

Scott is working today and the girls are home all day. Emma has an End of Year “thing” at school tonight. I went to the gym last night, maybe I’ll make it tonight after her “thing”. These nightly sundaes are not doing much for my weight. Actually, it’s doing a lot TO my weight.

I’m having a reunion of sorts tonight. Somehow I got invited to a group of people planning the reunion for this year. We’re meeting at restaurant to work on the reunion. I haven’t seen some of these people in the 10 years since school. Hopefully I won’t feel like a dork tonight. Wish me luck.

CHRIS. SANG. HAVEYOUEVERREALLYLOVEDAWOMAN. I. LOVE. THAT. SONG.

I was just talking with someone and we said they needed to do a Bryan Adams night. Wow. Ok, obviously I loved Chris last night. I even installed dialidol and it voted 351 times for Chris for me. Very nice. Elliott was good last night too although I’m not a huge fan of his, he can at least hit all his notes. Katharine had a good performance, but not great vocals. And did you catch the wardrobe malfunction? Great live tv. Taylor was good but not fabulous. Paris was ok but forgettable. Kellie was BAD. Some of it was good but all the important stuff was really bad. She needs to go home although my gut says Paris probably will.

I downloaded the mp3s for a guy at work that missed it last night. You can hear them here. I got them from rickey.org.

Feeling better today. Scott and I talked last night in a very rational, calm manner after I got back from bible study. I think we both see where our issues are and we’ve had the same conversation a badillion times, it’s just doing what we’re supposed to. I would like to think one day we’ll get passed all our issues but I’m guessing we’ll always have something to make better.

Scott finished the deck and fence this morning. Yay! The only thing left is doing the arbor at one of the entrances to the fence. We still have to pick a design.

Yay for AI tonight. Can’t wait. I had to break out the dialidol for chris tonight. Can’t be in the bottom two again.

I’m at work this morning. Feeling just kind of numbish. Don’t really want to be here, don’t really want to be at home working. Just don’t really want to work at all. Still.

Friday Scott got home. Honestly, it was rough getting back into the groove of things and really I don’t think we’re yet into it. Scott just handles the kids so differently than me sometimes and we butt heads. And his overall attitude just plain sucks sometimes. And it gets me in a bad attitude. And of course everything from Dec got brought up and it made it worse when I came into work this morning. So I’m just in an ugh mood really.

Saturday it rained almost all day. Emma had a birthday party in the afternoon. Scott took her while Lexi took her long afternoon nap. She’s down to one 3 hour nap in the afternoon now. After that, we took the kids to MIL and Scott and I went to the mall. I exchanged some things at the Loft which I need to exchange again and we stopped at Cheesecake Factory for dessert. Yummy. Sunday was spent at church and napping. It was pretty much an uneventful weekend that went by way too fast.

Good news is BIL is back in the States. SIL is gone to see him for a day or two. He should be home for good in about a week. Also in great news J&W are pregnant again.

Not into writing much more. Maybe I’ll be in a better mood later.

OK, I have caught up on a bunch of stuff around here. Including doing my entire weeks worth of bible study homework because it was SO good. I also started a to-do list and volunteer list for the place training. And I got my supply list almost complete for VBS. Oh, and I got all the laundry done and just have one more pile of my clothes to hang up. I think Scott feels a little unnecessary since we are not falling apart here. MIL has had them two afternoons so that has helped but honestly, Scott is usually off doing something even on his days off and rarely just sits at home so it is still feeling pretty normal so far. I hope this bodes well if he ever gets hired with the ATF.

I think I am still in a state of shock over Chris being in the bottom 2. Ugh! I will be breaking out the dialing software next week or voting until my fingers hurt next week. He will not go before Paris, Elliott or Kellie. Or Katharine for that matter. I can handle Taylor winning but would be upset if anyone else did. So I’m glad Ace went home. Finally. Now for next week, I think Kellie or Paris can go.

I think Lexi just said Juice to Mattie. I think she got the J out and the s sound at the end.

I am quickly beginning to drown in all of my attempts to be “active”. I’m already a day behind on my bible study. I met with Stuart today about the training we’re doing next month. It’s A LOT of stuff to do. We need sign up sheets, bulletin inserts, powerpoint presentations, etc. etc. And then there’s VBS which I haven’t even opened up the packet for. And I’m supposed to have a supply list by Sunday. Wow.

Scott’s training is going well. I don’t think it’s nearly as physical as he thought except they nearly killed him by making him run two miles yesterday morning.

Em and Lexi are gone with MIL again. I picked the kids up from school and took them over to MawMaw’s house. Lexi was asleep so I just left them all there while I met with Stuart after lunch. MIL picked them up from there. Not sure when they are coming home. I really want to go to the gym at 5:20 for Rock Bottom so I need to see how long she was going to keep them.

OH! AI comments from last night. Everyone (excluding Kellie) was awesome last night. That was the best show in several weeks. I loved Chris’s slow song. It seemed heartfelt and not nearly so scratchy of a voice. Which is good sometimes but not for that type song. Paris was excellent. I remembered finally why I liked her at one point. Taylor was really good. Loved that ending. It finally felt like he was really feeling the music again. Elliott was good but I’m not a big Elliott fan so I have a hard time judging him for some reason. Kellie sucked. Big time. She should go home just for that. Ace needs to go home although I enjoyed his performance last night, not so much the greased hair though. And Katharine of course was classic. It was a beautiful song sung with a beautiful voice. She finally was not yelling the song. So I hope Ace goes home just because I think overall he has been the worst. I wouldn’t be too heartbroken if Kellie’s song sent her home, but I do hope it’s Ace…again.
