WW Update

September 11, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

This morning I hit my “ultimate goal” of 8 lbs lower than I was and 2 lbs below my original goal.  I can’t tell much difference with the last 2 lbs honestly but I’m very proud to have literally changed the way I was eating.

This morning I was fixing some coffee and I thought hey, I don’t need to use Splenda, I could use REAL sugar in my coffee.  But honestly, I was like, why eat the calories when Splenda tastes just fine and so I used Splenda.  Last night I opened the fridge to eat some ice cream and Edy’s ice cream and then my Skinny cow ice cream sandwiches were there.  I chose the Skinny cows because why would I want the extra calories?  Small choices like these have helped this past month or so and after using a journal the first two weeks I learned the small things DO add up.  A candy bar here and a Frappuccino there DO matter.  The great thing is when eaten in moderation, you can still have that candy bar or that Frappuccino.  In fact, I’ve enjoyed Krispy Kreme donuts, Edy’s poppable ice cream, ice cream cake and plenty of Starbuck’s all in the past week.  It is doable to enjoy your food AND lose weight.  I’ve just cut back A LOT on how much snacking I do.  Honestly, my main meals haven’t changed that much.  It all comes down to the snacking for me.

Scott’s shoulder

September 10, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

OK, here are the pictures.  Be forewarned, it’s a little gross.  And if you ask me, it looks like Scott is growing a pair of lips out of his shoulder.  Lexi saw it for the first time today and said “Ew yuck, that’s crazy.”

Scott’s reorg

September 10, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

img_8392.JPGAs mentioned earlier, Scott got bored and when Scott gets bored, he organizes things.  Yes, some of you are jealous.  But believe me, sometimes it’s annoying.  Today, not so much.  Lexi has continued to sleep in Lexi’s room for about the last month. Lexi’s room is now the main play room and the sun room is, well, I don’t know yet.  I have no furniture to put in there.

Britney’s explanation

September 10, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I heard through the grapevine that Britney’s show was screwed up because Criss Angel’s stuff wouldn’t fit on stage so she probably really didn’t know the dance moves.

Cyanide and Happines

September 10, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I found this comic strip on my cousin’s myspace.  Most of the humor is too dark for me but I found this one hilarious.  I have a bad habit of correcting people’s grammar mistakes.  Scott can’t stand it.

Uh-oh

September 10, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

You can tell Scott has been home…things are getting re-arranged as we speak.  Lexi’s toddler bed just got taken out of her room and toys are being rearranged.  Look out, Mr. OCD is on the loose.

Britney bombs

September 9, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

Did someone tell Britney NOT to move and NOT to sing?  What was with that?  Looked like she was scared to move.  Or didn’t know what to do.  Or had a really bad hangover and her headache worsened with every attempt at moving.  Or something.  Something did not go right.  I’d like a decent explanation.  Very disappointing.

on “the funk”

September 9, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I mentioned I think yesterday I’ve been in a funk lately.  I meant to mention how much good church did for me today.  It was great studying for the lesson last night on consecration.  A great reminder of how we are called to be set apart.  Today was the first week teaching the 11th and 12th graders.  It was nice to have some more mature students in the class and it was nice to hear all the “I miss you’s” from our previous students.  The worship set and choir special went well and the choir lunch was nice after church.  It all put me in a really good mood and things are looking up today.
