So I’m headed to the office in the morning. I’ll be gone all day and that means no access to this site once again. Then tomorrow evening is band practice and youth group so tomorrow will probably be a quiet day around here.
I quit
Literally. I turned in my resignation today to my consulting company. It felt very, very strange to be writing that email. And to me it was very odd that in these days, you can quit simply by a few sentences in an email. I kept thinking I needed to hand write a letter on letterhead and mail it in and then sign about 25 papers. And it felt weird just because I’ve never officially resigned from a company. Sure I’ve quit other jobs but not really like this. I worked with that company since the day I was out of college over seven years ago and it just feels like another first I’m just now having. I don’t know.
The good news is although I turned in my resignation, I have a very, very nice new deal awaiting me that starts in a few weeks and I’m looking forward to it. I’ve heard from several credible sources that the company takes care of their people and it should be a pleasure to work with them. If the numbers say anything, we’ll get along just fine.
DWTS Results
I couldn’t be happier. I really wish they could have tied though. I felt so bad that M&M didn’t get anything in the end. The two of them had fantastic chemistry and are both so talented. They deserve some praise too. But if I had to pick (well, I guess I did last night when I voted) I’m glad Helio won. His racing team is headquartered near here so the viewing and victory party has been all over the news this evening. Very cool. Congrats, guys!

I came through the door, sat down to watch the rest of house and now sitting down to tell all you lovely people that this movie was worth my NINE dollars to see it. It was great, fabulous, wonderful, touching, beautiful, romantic, sweet, amazing, unique, heartwarming, heartwrenching, breathtaking…should I stop now? Do you get it? You need to go see this!

Read the Bible in 90 Days
I’ve always wanted to read through the Bible. I don’t know how many times I’ve read Genesis and Exodus but I never make it through. I’m planning on signing up and actually doing this. Thanks to Jeana at Days to Come for sharing.
Terrific Tuesday
Well, I don’t know if today will be terrific but I’m feeling better today. Scott tossed and turned all night but ended up going to work today. He said he’s not feeling great but it takes a lot for him to miss work so he’s out there. Emma is at home with me this morning. Her class went to the tree farm and I didn’t plan for us to go. So she’s painting and playing around me now. She says it’s going to be a great day today because today’s the day she gets to pick up her pottery and it’s the DWTS finale.
I’m actually hoping Scott gets to feeling better for the very selfish reason that I have plans to go to the movies to see August Rush with S, M, J and who knows who else tonight. I love going to the movies but don’t get to go too often and I love Keri Russell so it should be a great night. House and the DWTS finale will just have to be watched on TIVO. After the dancing last night, I’m not quite as psyched about watching who wins.
