plans foiled

My plans for the waterpark were foiled. So I’m sitting here. Yeah. bummer.

Mom forgot about an important dr’s appt this morning and then Lexi went a got this horrendous diaper rash thingy that makes her miserable and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving her with Scott’s grandmother and L was not available so I didn’t get to go.

The girls still stayed the night over at Mom’s but I left her house at 10:30 last night after watching the SYTYCD finale and then was over here at 7:45 so she could go to her appt. I brought my laptop over here and am working. Not sure why I just didn’t take the kids home?!

Off to the waterpark

I will be gone the entire day tomorrow with the youth group as our last hoorah of the summer at the waterpark in Greensboro, NC. We have a decent group of 26 students going and 4 chaperones. My kiddies are staying with my mom tonight and Scott will be sleeping because he works tonight. That means I get an entire day to act like a teenager at a waterpark. Maybe I’ll come home with phone numbers ~~written in my hand~~ stored in my phone. Gosh, I’m getting old.

High School Musical 2

Yes, I liked High School Musical and yes, I’m excited for High School Musical 2. Sh is having a birthday party for her 8 year old a little early and doing it as a viewing party. Our Y is having a viewing party as well. I don’t think I’ll be attending either of those but I will definitely be watching it on ~~Saturday~~ Friday night. I really don’t understand why they don’t put this movie in theaters. I’m not complaining but I wonder how many DVRs are set to record??

Sister’s Sacrifice

First night

So tonight was the first night at youth without St & Sh. And 3 other leaders weren’t there either so it was a lot of work but I think it went over well. I think the comment by one of them was “well that wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be.” And coming from a teenager I think that meant it went well. We really need a good singer to lead the band, otherwise it’s a little bit of struggle. And our drum player won’t be back until next week so that will help.

Our guest speaker tonight was our former youth pastor. He’s really good and I think the kids enjoyed it. In fact, I’ll probably post one of the videos he played tonight, it was really good. So I think we’re going to make it until we get another pastor. We had probably at least 20-25 kids there which is decent for the summer and the way the numbers have been going lately.

We’re having Mark Rodenhauser, a former Carolina Panthers player, come in next week to talk. So I really hope they enjoy that and the numbers are up since school will be back in.

I still was out of it last evening and determined I hadn’t done two things well in awhile and that was to go the gym and go to bed at a reasonable time. So I did both last night.

We ate dinner at IL’s house and I immediately came home and went to the gym for about 45 minutes. Then immediately came home and took a Unisom. I think I was actually asleep by 10. I’m feeling much better today.

House Tour

I got my house really clean on Saturday. So clean I took pictures. The house isn’t done as far as decorating…still need curtains in the living room and kitchen. I want to new countertops/floors in the kitchen. Kids rooms are sort of half done. In any case, thought I’d share. For some reason I started in the back of the house…and fyi, for some reason this theme WILL NOT let me center graphics although it is centered in my editor.
