It actually is working
Another pound down this morning…wow!! Put a huge smile on my face. I don’t remember the last time I was excited to wake up and step on the scale in the morning.
tonight
Tonight was very busy. Scott’s family came over for cookout/pool party for SIL and nephew’s birthdays this week. At 8:30 J and a graduated youth group member picked me up and we headed to see License to Wed. I’ve been wanting to see that since it came cause “I love Jim”. It was a really funny, cute movie. Not sure it is a must for the theaters, but definitely worth checking out.
Before I fall in bed…one note about Day 2 of the “i’m not really on weight watchers” day. I worked out so I got 3 extra points today but I don’t think I used them. Here’s what I had:
coffee (with splenda this time)
slice of 2% cheese
caesar chicken salad from Wendy’s (uh, big no-no apparently. the dressing was 14!! points..i only ate about 3/4 of the salad though)
Literally 5 grapes for snack
Shrimp and corn for dinner
Handful of grapes for snack tonight
And all water to drink..I even got water at Wendy’s. Wow. I better be down another pound tomorrow, I even skipped on the birthday cake.
Seems like I was serious
I wasn’t extremely serious about saying I was going to start weight watchers but I ended up doing it yesterday. St is on it and has lost 10 lbs in just one week. So Sh got me pumped up yesterday talking about it. Anyway, I was down over a pound this morning! Yipee! My hope is I only have to do this for a week or two and then maintain. This is what I ate yesterday:
Coffee for breakfast with sugar so I had to count that
A slice of 2% cheese for snack (if you can call it a snack)
Tuna sandwich for lunch
Ham sub from Subway for dinner with a 1/2 pack of light potato chips
Nature Valley trail mix bar for snack
Drank water all day
I can’t/don’t want to do that for the rest of my life but I can do that for a little while.

I think I’m giving up thinking of titles for these things.
L was here today which helped a bunch. The girls are really starting to get attached to her. Today Emma says L, I love you. Lexi got hurt last week sometime and I tried to console her and she said, I want L! Which is great! That means they are trusting her more and she can do her job better. Which means I can do my job better.
After work today I made it to the gym. I ended up only going once last week. But after hitting a new weight gain record this week (excluding pregnancies) I HAVE to get back into working out. And am thinking about doing Weight Watchers for a time. Scott lost 25 lbs on it and I’ve heard from countless people it works if you stick to it. I just have never even entertained the idea of an actual diet plan and I’m clueless. See, turning 29 is bad. Bad, bad, bad. I think my metabolism just knows I turn 30 next year and is preparing itself. I don’t think the birthday cake, candy bars, cookies and ice cream have ANYthing to do with it.
This evening we spent the entire evening at S&S’s house dealing with that drama I keep talking about. I’ll spill everything tomorrow on that. I definitely need to vent about it.

In case you couldn’t tell, I ended up seeing the movie Hairspray last night. After work, I cleaned up a little, made dinner and then left for Hairspray around 7 with J. Heather met us there. If you couldn’t tell from my little review, it was a fabulous movie. I will definitely want to buy that one when it comes out.
Tonight we have an emergency meeting with our youth council. ‘Member that drama I was talking about? Um yeah. It wasn’t quite what I thought was going to happen but drama is definitely brewing and I can’t go into details until after tomorrow night but suffice it to say I’m super bummed this week and the next few days or even weeks may not be any fun.
