Did someone say Twilight? Oh, I think Sarah did when she tagged me for this book meme!
The directions on this one are very unique directions: find the book closest to you, turn to page 56, and type in the fifth sentence plus a couple more after that.
She guessed I would have Twilight closest to me but in fact, I had Stephenie Meyer’s other book The Host closest to me (well, TECHNICALLY I had a stack of about 10 children’s book closest to me but they have no page 56).
So I hope I don’t spoil myself by reading this since I’m still on page 1

I am at my desk so the closest reading material to me is the Staples catalogue but I do keep a novel in my purse for quiet days.
…would have been a release for Cecilia after a frustrating day whose crosscurrents of feeling she had preferred not to examine. Addressing Briony’s problems with kind words and caresses would havee restored a sense of control. However, there was an element of autonomy in the younger girl’s unhappiness.

It was either this scene from Breaking Dawn or the crash scene from Twilight…both are equal distances away 🙂
It wasn’t nearly as easy to dance with Charlie. He was no better than I was, so we moved safely from side to side in a tiny square formation. Edward and Esme spun around us like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.
