CVS 101

August 9, 2010 by Amy

Today I got a fantastic deal at CVS…I got $50 worth of stuff for $2.  There’s something a little addictive about saving so much money.  But the great thing is it’s not bad for you, in fact, it’s GREAT for you.  I’ve been asked online and offline a few times how I do it.  There are tons of web sites and now even in-person couponing classes you can take but I learned it nearly 3 years ago over at moneysavingmom.com.  She has a fantastic tutorial here that should explain it all.

I decided to take a stab at explaining what I do on video for those that are adverse to reading.  I’m not sure why you’re reading this if you are, but anyhoo.  Now my stab at this is more like a stab with a safety pin than a butcher’s knife.  I don’t do a great job. I didn’t have a script, the video is spliced and well, I just hope you get something out of it if you prefer videos over written tutorials.

I just know this CVS thing works and I want you to see that it’s doable.  I have saved THOUSANDS of dollars over the past few years and I simply will not know what to do if I ever have to pay for toothpaste or a razor again.  I spend no more than 1 hour a week on this and it is well worth my time.

That's why I haven't gotten good at this stuff…it's like a math game, and I suck at math! lol

I'm glad you posted this…just today I was in CVS and got a couple ECB, and I hadn't figured out what exactly to do with them yet!

I know you can do it! My sister hates math and does really well with it! Just takes a little extra time planning at first before you get the hang of it.

I soooo was just gonna post, I HATE MATH…and I do very well with couponing…so well that I'm returning to it b/c it gives me enough income that its like a part time job. And yes, it takes more planning cause my brain doesnt compute all those numbers alone…always a pen, paper and a handy calculator….and moneysavingmom.com, of course!

One good thing to note about you is that you are able to resell this stuff and make LOTS of money off of it at yard sales!! I'm just not organized enough for that!
