Stitch Fix #8

September 19, 2013 by Amy

2013-09-18

After last month’s Stitch Fix delivery, I really wasn’t sure I’d go for #8 but another credit showed up (THANK YOU) and I couldn’t resist.

I’m so glad I did because this one was way, way better.

#1 Opaque Faceted Gems & Rhinestones Necklace

IMG_0094

First up is this necklace. It was at the top of the box when I opened it and I oohed and aahed.  I think it’s really pretty but I’m not sold on the colors.

$34

#2 Rossi Polka Dot Print Neck-Tie Blouse

IMG_0102

I was a little annoyed this blouse showed up. I told them in my feedback after last month I didn’t want any blouses with a neck tie.  However, the polka dots are insanely cute.  And if you can’t tell, this makes me feel like a nerdy librarian and let’s be honest, it’s not too far from the truth.

I feel like TiffanyD could pull this shirt off with some glamour but I’m not sure I can.

$48

#3 Ivy Zig-Zag Print Tab-Sleeve Blouse

IMG_0104

If you can’t tell, I like this one.  It has color, it has a pattern, it’s not tight, I like where it hits on my hips.  I know I’d wear this a lot. My only concern with a shirt like this is it won’t stay in style for very long.

$68

#4 Larsen Heart & Stripe Print Sweater

IMG_0115

Y’all.  After last month’s flamingo fiasco, I nearly laughed out loud when I found almost the exact same sweater except with hearts on it.  And most of you don’t know this about me, but I’m not a big fan of hearts.  They certainly have grown on me in the past years, but listen, I would NEVER wear this sweater.  Never.  Plus, it’s too small.  And just for the record, that’s what sarcasm looks like on my face.

$68

#5 Denna Colored Skinny Jean

IMG_0117

IMG_0116

So that is my suck-in-my-gut face and the one above it is I’m-not-really-sure-about-these-pants face.  I love that Bella is in front of me, like I’m not really sure about these either.

These were actually really comfortable and I pinky swear I’m going to lose a few pounds for the winter so they won’t be quite so tight.  I love the color and the length is perfect for me.  Even if I don’t keep these, they’ve definitely convinced me to buy some colored jeans.

$78

I have $30 credit so I’m for sure keeping some things.  With Allume coming up, I’m willing to spend a little extra so I can wear it there and don’t have to go shopping beforehand.  I *think* the blue one is a keeper and I’m debating the polka dot blouse and pants.  I think the polka dot shirt would actually look good with the jeans as my stylist recommended.

You guys are always so good to help me pick though.  What do you think?

I really like the blue zigzag shirt. I cannot believe they’d send you that heart shirt!! Stylist, LISTEN! I like the jeans OK but would probably not spend $80 when they don’t seem like they fit well.

I think it’d help if just one person stayed my stylist or they’re required to look at my entire history before putting things in there.

Your face in the heart sweater is hilarious! I like the polka dot shirt! You also reminded me that I need to figure out my wardrobe for Allume! EEEKKKK!!!

Don’t stress! People are so busy going here and there that you just don’t pay much attention to what people are wearing. I just might be using it as an excuse 🙂

The zig zag shirt is cute and I actually love the color of those jeans. However, you could find similar jeans at TJ Maxx (or go up to Page 6 – they had a ton of cute colored jeans on their sale wall the other week. I got a pair for only 39). and if you’re in the market for polka dots Loft has some cute selections right now that I think you’d wear more for less money (some cute accented 2/3 sleeve tees as well as a cute button down:))

I might have to check out Page 6 at lunch today. I was there the other day but as always, got super overwhelmed and didn’t look at the jeans.

I actually really like the polka dot shirt and the zig zag. Patterns hide a multitude of sins. 🙂

The zigzag top is my favorite. 🙂 The color is really pretty and I like the style.

I do like the tie neck top with the polka dots, too. However, I have a thing for blouses with ties like that and I am a librarian… 🙂

I really like the blue zig zag and the polka dot shirt. I would say find another pair of colored jeans that fits you perfectly. I love what you did with the pictures at the top! What tool(s) did you use?

I use Photoshop Elements to edit my pictures and then used Picasa to create the collage and add text. Sometimes I use picmonkey for collages as well.

My favorite part of this StitchFix are all of the poses and props in your pictures!! Love the zig zag and I don’t think it’s to trendy at all. It looks great on you. Love the necklace too, but to me it says spring and summer not fall and winter.

Love the polka dots! I can’t be trusted with neck ties though – I always did myself fidgeting with them!

I’ve definitely had that issue with Stitch Fix…I’m not sure why they ask for feedback if they don’t listen to it. Also, I’m pretty sure they never look at my Pinterest board I sent them, but since I get the occasional credit, I keep ordering 🙂

Love the blue shirt! I probably should have asked for “no royal blue” in my next fix though, because that seems to be the only color they send me…but let’s be real, I’d keep that shirt if I got it 😉 And the colored jeans are super cute!

I got that same blue zig zag top in one of my recent Fixes…and I loved it, but it was a bit too big for me. I do wish you got the same stylist every time. There has only been one box that I adored pretty much everything in it, and the note from the stylist said she’d looked through my Pinterest board to get ideas. Everything else has been so hit or miss. I have one coming next week.
