Feathers #014 with Wendy Hogan [Podcast] + GIVEAWAY

In this episode, I chat with Wendy Hogan.

Wendy Hogan is a nurse, homeschooling mom and Noonday Ambassador. She, her husband and her 3 boys reside in Mobile, Alabama.  Their lives are full of legos, laughter, endless jokes, sports, & a whole lotta love.

Wendy and I open up our conversation chatting about being moms to boys. Wendy then shares how God moved her from a life of disobedience and wakened her to the work he is doing locally and around the world through Noonday Collection.

Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:3

See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

  1. Marie Cherry says:

Thanks Amy for this podcast this morning! I loved hearing Wendy’s story and walk with God. I feel like in every episode there is something about me in them. Today’s was an eye opener for me!

    • Thanks for listening, Marie. Isn’t it funny how God uses the same story to speak into us? I’m always amazed how each episode meets me right where I am.

  2. That was an awesome interview! God is so good, I have definitely been in the restless phase, it is so wonderful when God’s mercy and grace pull you or if there!

  3. Angie Gutshall says:

Such an inspirational message! Loved hearing her story as I’m struggling with wanting to help others and not sure where to start.

  4. I really love your podcast and listening to everyone’s stories. After hearing your feathers stories I started seeing hearts everywhere in nature (although I was looking for a feather 😉 ).

    • Kristy, thank you so much for listening! I love that you are seeing hearts–would love to hear about some of them!

  5. Amy, Amy, Amy! Let me just say that I love your podcast! Love it! This was a great episode. I’ve almost finished catching up on all the episodes. What an encouragement! I’ll have to tell you about it sometime! God Bless!

    • Julie! I’m so glad to see you here and to know you’re listening. Would love, love, love to hear what’s going on in your world–seriously, email me! amyjbennett at gmail dot com.

  6. My kids found 10 feathers at church today and it reminded me to come back and comment after listening to the episode last week. I told a new friend about the podcast this week because she needed some encouragement to continue to have faith even during the hard seasons. So thankful for your faithfulness in putting these together for us each week. Thank you!

    • 10!! Oh my goodness. That is so cool. Thank you for the encouragement to keep going–I need it!

      • She is a working mom with 3 kids like you and me and she said she felt like there weren’t podcasts out there that included that perspective…that most were from the perspective of a stay at home or homeschooling mom. So be encouraged! You’re reaching so many people with truth and encouragement. :)

  7. This episode spoke into some deep places for me and brought encouragement and conviction. I love how God brings nuances of the same message through different sources to speak into our lives. I am challenged to pursue His calling more and reign in those areas of disobedience again. Thank you for sharing!
