Extraordinary Faith for Everyday Life
Sorry for the really bad picture of me, they wanted a face with no expression….Wow, I don’t know who Summer Altice is, but I think I look like her just not quite as pretty…Brendan Frasier, that’s embarrassing… and who knew I looked Asian?
Since I’m one of those non-crafty people, I’m calling for all crafty people to go be an exhibitor at the Craft Show Connection. Very cute stuff on there already and they want more people added.
I’m posting this as a favor to An Iowa Mom, who I read every day. And yes, as a bonus, I get a referral fee. So go register.
This is why Scott can’t enjoy movies. He’s watching the end of Silence of the Lambs and says, "This is so stupid. If you lose sight of her, you go outside, surround the house and call for backup."

A while back I posted about a marriage series called Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage. This weekend almost my entire family completed their Flag Page–basically it’s another personality test. Very, very interesting how it nails you after so few questions. All they do is present words and you pick ones that "feel good" to you. It comes out with 5 pages of stuff about you.
Basically I like to do a lot of things peacefully and perfectly and I get along well with others unless specific buttons are pushed. No surprises, but so interesting how they do that. Every one of us was described perfectly.
The details are in the expanded section…

I buy my Christmas cards printed from Snapfish.com, my shirts are bought at Ann Taylor, I get blankets for Christmas from my grandmother, I only own a few books, I don’t paint, my last attempt at homemade Christmas decorations left my Christmas tree looking like a 2 year old had decorated it, I buy my jewelry and purses from other lovely and talented ladies. In short, I probably won’t have an Etsy store anytime soon and I have nothing creative to give away.
Ah, but I do have something handsomely rewarding. Something I would love to win myself. A CVS gift card loaded with $10. Use it to earn some Extra Care Bucks or splurge on something a little extra.
All you have to do is comment on this post and then I’ll randomly draw a name November 2. Click on the image above to visit the entire listing of giveaways. I think last time she had over five hundred participants.
Good luck!

Wow, that weekend was really busy. I’m tired. My house is not clean. The kids are wiped out. But we had a great time spending time with my visiting family. There ended up being no eating out and no shopping. Just a lot of eating in, chatting and watching tv. We did make it to two fall festivals on Saturday but dragging 12 people around as a group just isn’t as fun as you imagine it might be.
We spent every free moment we had at Mom’s so I spent a few minutes this evening trying to clean what I could, catch up on my reader list and prepare myself that tomorrow morning it’s back to work. I feel like I need a weekend from my weekend.
This is the second and possibly the last week for this Carnival if there are no participants again. Which is perfectly fine. Some ideas don’t always pan out.
To participate, simply post a verse, a set of verses or even just a reference to a verse that means something to you now or maybe even in the past. Explain why it’s important or don’t. It’s up to you.
My scripture this week is 1 Corinthians 1:10
I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.
Last week was my verse about getting through all this youth group council drama and this week is the verse that was read Friday night at our meeting where I believe the drama finally, finally ended.
So how about you? Go now and post and then come back. Post your name and then a direct link to you blog entry. If you don’t have a blog, feel free to leave yours in the comments.
