November 7, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I haven’t posted one of these Vintage Amy Posts in awhile so I pulled out my old journals and will be posting a few…

We had fun @ ML’s party.  We snuck out, but didn’t get caught.  We almost did though.  We watched Wayne’s World & Sleeping with the Enemy.  Well, let’s get to the good part.

M & I went to Carrigan Farms for Halloween with the youth group.  I saw L and went to introduce M to him.  We were down by the lake then and then went up the hill and he left. But GB, M’s dream guy stayed and talked to us.  S didn’t really hang around us that much because she was mad at M for liking G.  Anyway M and G sat beside each other after G asked her to.  I told L to sit beside me.  When the ride first started h put his arm around me and I didn’t think anything of it.  Then he started rubbing my hand.  I was getting cold and put my blanket over us.  Everybody was throwing hay everywhere so M and G put their blanket over their heads and it didn’t look very good.  But anyway, the hay was sliding, so L& I were practically lying down.  By this time we were holding hands.  And @ one point I though the had kissed me on my neck and if he didn’t, something was on my neck.  We were under the covers and he asked me if I had a boyfriend and Heather called me so I took the covers off.  I think he was going to ask me out.  Then in the van we were holding hands.  It felt like it was supposed to be, but I kept thinking about S.  I don’t think S like me, so everybody says I should like L, but I know the minute I see S, I’ll start liking him again.  I think I’ll just wait it out, I don’t know.  When L was holding my hand, it felt good to hold someone’s hand, but I don’t know if I want it to be his.

Amy!

What you should know now:

Wayne’s World!

People, please remember I was 14.  Why I embarrass myself with these, I don’t know.  But I laugh at most of it.  The really scary thing is less than two years from this date, I met Scott and have not dated anyone else.  Yeah…that’s scary stuff.

If you’ve never read any of these posts or for some reason can’t keep up with my teenage love life, I did end up "dating" L.  S and I sort of went on a date eventually but I don’t think he ever really liked me.

And yes, I really did write the word "at" with @ and really did put an exclamation point after my name when I signed it in cursive.  There are also hearts drawn around this entry.

Honestly, I really don’t remember much of anything in this post happening. I remember sneaking out of ML’s party and I think all we did is walk up and down the neighborhood streets.  I remember going to the farm and sort of remember there being a hay ride but can’t remember any of these details I mentioned.  It feels kind of weird to read about events that happened to you but you can’t remember.

Colbie Caillat – Bubbly

November 7, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

I’m in love with this new song by Colbie Caillat.  It’s on repeat on my iTunes as we speak.  I couldn’t embed the original video from YouTube but found this one just so you could hear it.

Chuck E. Cheese Countdown

So now Emma’s "boyfriend" is coming to the party as well as a few more from their classes.  Right now, there are 14 kids going to be there plus all the adults.  Oh my, I think I need to go ahead and start praying for patience.

She WAS sleepy

November 7, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

After Lexi fell asleep around 6pm last night, she ended up waking up for about 10 minutes around 1:30am and then didn’t wake up for good until 6:30 this morning.  Sleepyhead!   Needless to say, she was in a good mood this morning.

Somebody was sleepy

This time change thing has us all messed up.  Sunday morning we woke up a little early but feeling great.  I had the girls in bed early the past two nights and that was nice.  But yesterday I woke up tired because I stayed up until my normal bedtime Sunday night but that was an hour past my normal bed time and then the girls woke up early Monday morning.  So I went to bed early last night but then the girls got up extra, extra early this morning at 6:30!!

I’m feeling ok just because I went to bed so early last night but look who fell asleep right after dinner?  She literally finished her dinner, rolled over onto the ottoman and fell asleep within about 10 seconds.

Now I don’t know whether this is a nap or she’ll be out the whole night and get up extra, extra early tomorrow or if she’ll get up soon and then stay up extra late and then be tired in the morning.  Which means I’ll be tired in the morning.

OK, I’m sure you’re confused after all that because like I said, this time change thing has us all messed up!

The Bachelor November 5, 2007

November 6, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

So I didn’t stay up last night to watch The Bachelor.  First in awhile.  Since it was only 45 minutes with commercials, I was able to watch it pretty quickly this evening from my TIVO.

So…Jenni’s date was first and the dolphins were really cute.  Seemed like they had a good time.  And once again, the physical sparks between Jenni and Brad were pretty obvious.  Even the frisking to find the hotel card was further proof there is definitely something between them.  But their conversation was sort of weird.  I don’t understand her inability to say how she felt toward him.

Bettina’s date was next and boy was it short.  They showed all of two minutes on the sailboat.  All I remember is seeing them in their swimsuits on the boat and then in the pool at the hotel.  I already knew that Bettina was leaving when I watched this and I’m not sure if it skewed my opinion but to me it was obvious he wasn’t picking her.  And she tried to make up the whole family thing by saying they were just worried he didn’t return her feelings.

The third date was with DeAnna and I was surprised at her continuous witty comments and while I found it a little on the annoying side, he seemed to like her being feisty.  And he was very impressed with her feelings she shared at dinner.  In fact, with a lot of his comments he seemed really, really into her that night.  “I am developing some very strong and extremely real feelings for DeAnna.  Very strong…She’s everything I’ve looked for in a woman…I look at her as a soul mate…I can see a lifetime with DeAnna.” And she seemed really sincere as well.  I still can not get over how she treated the other girls in the house and was even reminded of all the cattiness when they showed previews for the reunion show next week.

But y’all, I think we’re in for a shocking episode next week.  I’ve said Jenni has been the frontrunner but I think DeAnna is going to pull this one off.  Jenni and Brad seem to be all physical and he knows she’s accepted the dancing contract with the Suns so that’s a negative too.  I think it will be like last season with Andy where he picked the soulmate Tessa over the physical connection with Bevin even though Bevin had been a frontrunner for most of the season.  They keep saying it’s going to be shocking so who knows.

Back to the office tomorrow

November 5, 2007 by Amy Leave a Comment

For the third time in about a week, I’m going into the office to work tomorrow.  No access to this site while I’m there :(.

The rest of tonight will be spent watching tv.  I may get in a post about The Bachelor before I zonk out.  I doubt it though.  I’m really tired tonight.
